Based in the UK, Sam grew up in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Since living in Lausanne, where she obtained her BA in political science, she has worked for more than twenty years in the legal, translation and property fields, specialising in transactions between the UK and various Italian- and French-speaking regions.
